Where shall wisdom be found? for SATB choir (with divisions) and organ was written to celebrate the five hundredth anniversary of the foundation of Loughborough Grammar School and first performed on 30 March 1995 at St Paul’s Cathedral, London. Andrew Carter colourfully illustrates the various verses from Job 28 in this substantial anthem before concluding with a hymn (The fear of the Lord with text paraphrased by the composer from Proverbs 1 and 2, Ecclesiasticus and elsewhere) and a monumental threefold amen.
