A Blake Triptych
This trio of contrasting songs for children’s choir (SSA) and piano explores both the apparent innocence and the deeper significance of three of Blake’s most famous poems. The simplicity and brevity of Carter’s settings, combined with the layered meaning of Blake’s texts, give the songs a broad appeal and make them suitable for a variety of occasions.
